River Valley Athletic Club is a great place to have your child’s birthday party! We offer parties for children 4 and older, both for members and non-members. Our party host will decorate the room with streamers, banners and table covers. You bring the cake, food and beverages of your choice. The host will even clean up the mess afterwards. We will supervise and guide gym activities. Children may also choose to swim in the heated, indoor pool. We can personalize the party activities to you desires. A Free Guest Pass is also given to each child attending for later use.
Drop off the kids and enjoy a night out. Pizza and a drink is provided. Kids Night Out are usually held once every month. Registration can be done at the front desk.

The TRX Suspension Trainer is the original, best-in-class workout system that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises. Small group personal training adds cammaradarie, support, accountability and fun to your workout. Working in small groups allows you to get the personal attention you need for proper form while paying a lower price than individual sessions. Grab a group of like minded individuals and form your own small group or join one of the existing groups.

Individualized pilates personal training will improve your form, clarify principals and can be assist with physical rehabilitation, pain reduction, muscle/joint function and athletic training.
Junior Fitness is a training program designed for 12 and 13 year old members to help them understand more about exercise and safety. Junior members, age 12 and 13, who would like to use the upstairs fitness equipment are required by insurance regulations to take this training class. The Junior Fitness program is also a great option for 14-18 year old members new to the weight training to gain an understanding of how to use the equipment safely and effectively. Participants are given a 20 page booklet that includes three sample workouts
An assessment of your current fitness level is a great start to any fitness program. We will measure your body composition to determine your BMI and body fat percentage. If desired, we can also test your muscular strength, endurance, flexibility and postural analysis to be used in determining what type of fitness program would be most beneficial for you. A baseline assessment can be used to track your progress and plan your exercise program accordingly.
Fitness Assessments will be completed by a certified personal trainer.
Our goal is for you to be comfortable and confident using all of the equipment. We will show you how to use cardio machines, weight machines and a few additional tools and to have a plan in place when you come to the gym.
The golf performance program is designed around developing the golf swing, with exercises that will build strength, power and flexibility. This golf-specific training program will also feature corrective techniques, thus targeting injury prevention and physical endurance. Add distance and precision to your game and be ready to perform at your best.
Personal Trainer Bret Blackman will be on the fitness floor to oversee youth strength training. This program is designed for youth ages 14–18 and those 12-13 years old who have completed the Junior Fitness Program. Bret will provide assistance with form and programming to those using the fitness floor strength equipment. Sample workouts will be provided. This is a great opportunity for teens to work out under the supervision of a certified personal trainer. Come any time during the time frame to complete your workout. Personal Trainer Bret Blackman will be on in the gym to oversee this introduction to tumbling and wrestling program. This program is designed for boys and girls ages 3-5. Bret will coach youth on the basics of tumbling, balance, coordination, body control, sportsmanship and most importantly, FUN. The program will be held in the gym at River Valley Athletic Club. This is a great way to introduce kids to gymnastics and wrestling concepts.
